The Ängelholm UFO memorial is a monument dedicated to an alleged UFO landing site in the Kronoskogen forest near Ängelholm, Sweden. It includes a concrete scale model of a flying saucer, the purportedly life-size landing impressions on the ground, and copper plaques mounted on pillars. The monument reflects the account of Swedish entrepreneur Gösta Carlsson, who attributed his success in life to encountering a UFO in 1946.

At the center of the memorial, a one-eighth-scale concrete model of a flying saucer sits atop a concrete pedestal. Cast in Carlsson's Välinge factory and based on his sketches, the model has a rear fin, support legs, and a metal periscope-like device protruding from the top. Concrete paths, which depict landing impressions, circle the model. Copper plaques mounted on pillars at the edge of the clearing provide the purported eyewitness testimony. The monument is Swedish National Heritage Board heritage site number RAÄ Strövelstorp 47:1.

Investigations into the account have not corroborated the UFO narrative. Despite a lack of evidence, it has become a tourist destination and national heritage site.

In 1995, respected Swedish ufologist Clas Svahn wrote a book with Carlsson about the incident, Mötet i gläntan (The meeting in the clearing). After years of research and over a hundred hours of interviews, Svahn came away disbelieving the encounter, but not doubting Carlsson's conviction.

So NO huge amounts of confirmation/corroboration.

The Ferri Incident

 October 9, 1984. 3:30 a.m. A beam of light coming in through a window wakes up Isidoro Ferri in his residence on the Via della Tessaia in Polcanto, northeast of Florence, Italy. He sees that it is coming from the forehead of a dark figure on a nearby hill across the road. 

Suddenly the figure and light vanish, and Ferri sees a stationary dark object with three pinkish jets of light projecting downward. After several minutes, this light disappears and an extremely bright white light approaches and floods the area. Ferri gets up and approaches the window but finds himself paralyzed for a few seconds.

 The light then withdraws, and he finds he can move again. 

The white light is replaced by a red lens-shaped light that hurts his eyes then moves on to the northwest. 

Ferri’s dog has not barked through the entire encounter, refuses food for the next several days, and stays in its doghouse for 2 weeks. Three circular holes 4 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep are found in an area of somewhat flattened grass. Sources: CUFOS

I started investigating and researching Close Encounters of the Third Kind /Entity cases in 1974 -the year I set up the CE3K/AE Study Archive.

One thing I have noticed is that a lot of reports of UFO landings involving entities are dismissed outright because (1) Greys are not involved and (2) there is no claimed abduction. Percipients in CE3K incidents either thenb say no more or turn to other things including religion looking for answers.

How many people here know of what we might call straight forward "old fashion" UFO landings and encounters. I can always be FB messaged if you do not want to make an incident public.
