St. Cyrille, Province du Quebec, Canada -Bibendum or Robots?
APRO Bulletin, Vol. 23 No. 3 (Nov/Dec 1974)]
"Our thanks to Field Investigator Wido Hoville for the following excellent and very strange report: Mr. and Mrs. L. had come home from a holiday in Florida during the evening of July 22, 1974. Being tired from the trip, Mrs. L. had gone to bed and her husband was sitting up watching the late show on television. They live in a house trailer near St. Cyrille, Quebec. Other trailers on the lot had been installed but the L.s were the only occupants at the time.
Shortly after the end of the show at about 1:15 a.m. on the 25th, Mr. L. was preparing to go to bed when he heard a strange sound like “bum bum bum” outside, much like something falling on the grass. He lifted the curtain in the living room and saw a reddish-orange round object hovering over the field to the northeast side of his house trailer. He then went into the bedroom to wake his wife and while there heard another sound like buzzing and when he looked outside he saw what he described as a robot like creature, about 6 feet tall, within 15 feet of the trailer.
Needless to say, Mr. L. was shocked by what he saw and he and his wife then went into the living room where they looked out and observed three more “Robots” (they described them as such because of their stiff manner of moving about, as well as their appearance) close to an adjoining trailer and apparently examining the shaft and wheel assembly. From then on, Mr. and Mrs. L. only looked out occasionally to see if the “robots” were still there and because they were very frightened. During the observation, which lasted until 4:20 a.m., they both saw approximately 15 of the robots together in one line close to the creek. The robots stood there for over 5 minutes and when they moved they moved as if one unit, giving the L.s the impression that they were remote-controlled.
During the following few days, the L.s learned that a farmer had trouble with his dog on the morning after the incident. The dog, which usually barked wildly at the slightest provocation, had managed to slip out of his collar and was hiding.
Although only one object was seen, three of what could be landing traces were found. One was where the witnesses observed the object, the others on the other side of the creek, hidden by high bushes which would have screened anything from the L’s view. Since the sighting, when Mr. Hoville’s investigation was made, the grass had been cut on both sides of the creek but the landing marks were clearly seen because the grass had grown twice as high in the area of the marks as in the surrounding area. The grass in the landing areas was not burned, but merely swirled as in the cases of other so-called “saucer nests” around the world.
According to the witnesses, they found a strange substance of whitish color where the robots were seen moving about, and close to their prefabricated shed. A sample is with Dr. Walker, APRO’s Consultant in metallurgy and if analysis yields anything pertinent to the report, it will be included in our Follow-Up column in a future issue. Members must keep in mind that such analysis is done on a volunteer basis and that all of our consultants have positions in industry or education which have to take priority over APRO work; therefore, results may not be immediately forthcoming. Also, since the beginning of the fall, 1973 “flap,” many samples of various kinds have been forwarded to Headquarters and lab work is always slow in yielding results."
------
Although I have searched I can find no update on any analysis but that may be because certain APRO Bulletins are no longer available and 1974 seems to be a year missing issues
Below; Bibendum men seen on Reunion Island in the 1970s
It has been suggested that the entities are "typical" or "sound very much like" Bibendum or "Michelin Man" entities. I would say no. I devoted a whole chapter of one of my books on the subject of these Bibendum entities and although some are described as walking awkwardly due to protective "bubble suits"(?) the heads are seen and encased in a clear helmet. In this case the description leaves a lot to be desired.
No head is seen so there may have been a helmet and "bars of glowing red switched off from time to time" does not give us a Bibendum description. The You Tube channel Street of Silence decided that "reddish round object" and "robots" with no real description could make for good images!
images (c)2025 Streets of Silence
There have been other occasions when "robotic" entities have been encountered, however, the massive leap from "walking stiffly" to robot-like or even "behaved like robots" under remote control is pushing things. If -if- this is a genuine report then the problem is that we have no idea about extra terrestrial life forms and many factors involved in their moving around in an "alien environment".
This case sounds i8nteresting and not the first to involve multiple entities around a property, however, the details from the APRO Bulletin are all we have and they are being reprinted and re-used a great deal.
If anyone reading this knows of any follow-up or what metallurgy test results found then please get in touch and let me know!
We have lost far too many cases.

Store Vildmose 1957
One evening in October 1957, at around 11:00 p.m., a farmer and his wife were driving their car across Store Vildmose, a nature reserve in northern Jutland that once housed Europe's largest raised bog. Suddenly, they saw an unusually bright object either flying or driving towards them across a field bordering the road they were driving on. The object was moving at a speed they estimated to be 30–35 km/h. When the car passed the object in the field at a distance of 50–75 meters, they could now see that it was a type of dome-shaped "vessel" in which two people were sitting. The dome had a strange bluish or greenish glow.
The farmer wanted to examine the strange object more closely, but his wife warned him against it. He followed her advice and they drove away, but very slowly. They then followed the mysterious object through the rear window of their car, finally seeing it disappear to the north.

"Another Galaxy" -How Dumb Is That?
Have any Ufologists, especially the ones claiming to be astronomy savvy ever read a book or looked something up online? There is a big difference between our Solar system and our galaxy. I swear that if I hear one more Ufologist state "they may come from Andromeda" or the new favourite "They may come from Proxima" I am going to scream. Also They may come here from a neighbouring galaxy".
Okay, for the dumb. Solar system SMALL galaxy BIG.
The idiocy of constantly referring to "intergalactic travel" should be rewarded with a big hat that has a capital "D" on it (for "dunce"). WHY from another galaxy??
The Milky Way is estimated to contain 100 to 400 billion stars. This wide range is due to the difficulty in observing and counting all stars, as many are obscured by dust and gas or are too faint to detect.
The Milky Way is estimated to contain at least 100 billion planets, with some estimates suggesting there could be as many as a trillion. A 2012 study based on microlensing data indicated at least 100 billion planets, a figure often cited, and recent studies suggest that planets are abundant, with around 18% of stars possibly hosting Earth-sized planets
There you go. We have no idea about the technology that would be used by any alien civilization or how fast they can travel between star systems BUT let's suppose only 1% of the 100 billion planets had intelligent life that is still 1,000,000,000.
Let's say it is only 0.5% then that still gives us 500,000,000 and if it was only, say, only 0.1% of 100 billion that would still be 100,000,000.
The next figure is pure speculation for reasons that will be explained but it shows why we need not keep saying "from another galaxy":
Estimates for the number of intelligent civilizations in the Milky Way vary widely, but recent studies suggest there could be as many as 36 communicating civilizations at any given time. Some more recent estimates suggest a range from 111 to 42,777. It is important to note these are estimates and the actual number is unknown, as scientific models used to estimate this number are based on numerous assumptions, with the most conservative models suggesting a lower number while more optimistic models suggest a higher number.
Perhaps astronomers need to look at UFO reports more rather than dismissing them just as Ufologists (obviously not all of them) need to get an education?

Since 1947 it has been claimed that UFOs/flying saucers are evidence of aliens visiting the Earth. Since the 1950s claims of encounters with landed craft and alien beings were talked about but not taken seriously.
In the 1960s the subject of UFO abduction was a "slow-burner" until the whole "Grey" abduction phenomenon and claims made by researchers such as Budd Hopkins, Prof. John Mack and Dr David Jacobs and Whitley Streiber.
But is there evidence to back up any of the claims -and what about those encountering Alien Entities but who were not abducted?
Are these people all hoaxers, psychotic or suffering from some other mental illness as some claim?
Are those people who were exposed by Ufologists against their wishes, people who wanted to report what happened and then just get back to their everyday lives -thrust into the media glare against their will?
And if US authorities were so interested that in one case at least they broke into the home of two abductees and this was later proven -why?
Why did a hard core of these people never want publicity or to make money from what happened to them?
Above all, why did a major UFO landing incident take place on a US Inbterstate road in front of a large number of observers (all willing to talk to investigators) never get investigated? If it were not for a radio presenter interviewing and taking notes we would know nothing of the case -it would be labelled "insubstantial".
James and Coral Lorensen -the Scopolamine Kids; using a very notorious "truth drug" on alleged UFO witnesses and selling stories to newspapers. An investigator (a veteran) showing a witness images of "aliens" encountered in other cases before any memories were retrieved. Worst of all, the constant "pissing competition" and breaches of trust between UFO investigators.
2017 is the time to assess the past evidence and look at the faults within Ufology.
Not everyone is going to be happy -debunkers or ufologists.
