Store Vildmose 1957

One evening in October 1957, at around 11:00 p.m., a farmer and his wife were driving their car across Store Vildmose, a nature reserve in northern Jutland that once housed Europe's largest raised bog. Suddenly, they saw an unusually bright object either flying or driving towards them across a field bordering the road they were driving on. The object was moving at a speed they estimated to be 30–35 km/h. When the car passed the object in the field at a distance of 50–75 meters, they could now see that it was a type of dome-shaped "vessel" in which two people were sitting. The dome had a strange bluish or greenish glow.

The farmer wanted to examine the strange object more closely, but his wife warned him against it. He followed her advice and they drove away, but very slowly. They then followed the mysterious object through the rear window of their car, finally seeing it disappear to the north.
