The Riegelsville Encounter

At approximately 0100hrs on the morning of the 15th of June 2012 in Pennsylvania, United States of America, the witness was driving a back road when they came across a curve in the road, upon approaching the curve in the road the witness saw what they thought was a deer on the right side of the road about to run across in front of the car.

The witness braked to stop from hitting the animal and the deer ran out into the road and off into the verge on the left side of the road.

Following this the witness encountered something else, this time it wasn't a deer. The witness goes on to describe what they saw, "I immediately saw the glowing Kashmir blue light brightly emanating from the mask/helmet/face of a tall man standing on the left side of the road. He must have stood seven feet tall or more.".

Next the witness watched the deer run up to the 'man' and the animal acted like a dog would with it's master, "In the next second, my headlights fell directly on the pair. I had slowed down to a speed of about 15 to 20 mph to avoid the collision and had a clear, direct view. This next second lasted an hour in my mind. The creature was similar to a deer in size and overall shape. It had a dark brown/grey covering that I want to call fur but was more likely leathery. It had the head similar to a dog with an elongated snout and short ears. It had the build of a greyhound with long legs supporting a smaller, slender frame. The legs were strange. They may have bent backwards but I cannot be sure. I recall that it moved strangely as it crossed the road. It had no visible tail.".

The witness noted that the tall being had a human build wearing a black suit and had many pockets, there was no flesh visible on the 'human'. The witness reports, "The visor was rectangular with rounded edges and was positioned to be consistent with human anatomy. The light obscured the shape of the head somewhat, but again, it seemed to have a head consistent with human anatomy from a straightforward perspective".

As the witness drove past they believe they made eye contact even though the witness couldn't see the tall beings eyes and as the witness drove away they could see in the rear view mirror of the car the being watch the car drive away.

After making it a bit down the road and out of sight of whatever the witness had encountered they stated, "At this point a very unsettling thing occurred. I felt him call to me. It was like a feeling more than words. It wanted me to come back. It was a strong urge to turn around mixed with feelings of peace and tranquility. Suddenly I realized that I had unconsciously brought the car to a stop. This frightened me to my core. It still does. I immediately floored the car and blew the stop sign at the end of the road as i raced to home and safety".

In the years following this encounter the witness would have a few other odd or unexplained experiences that didn't add up to anything until the witnesses girlfriend came into the picture.

In around 2016 the witness and his girlfriend lived ina rural location, one night out on the porch they noticed a light, "One winter night we noticed a very bright flash of white light coming from the back woods behind the house. It was so bright it could have been lighting. but there was no clouds in the sky. We went to the back yard to investigate, becoming suspicious of a possible intruder taking pictures in out woods. The flashing continued intermittently but with no discernible pattern. I then realized that the light was actually off the ground at least ten feet. This made use uncomfortable and we went inside".

Following this experience with the light in the woods, similar episodes occurred night after night in the woods so the witness and their girlfriend decided to try and find the source of the light one night.

"I tried to flash it and find it with the spotlight but had no luck. It simply flashed as it pleased woth no reaction to us. Then we heard a familiar sound. It sounded as though a 747 was going overhead. I expected to see a low flying airliner pass overhead but was instead shocked as what I saw. A triangular craft passed slowly overhead, maybe a hundred feet above us. It had three red flashing lights at each point and several smaller glowing orange lights in between. It was making the sound of a large jet airplane, however, if it had been a jet, it would have deafened us at the distance it passed. It also moved much too slowly to be any type of jet propelled craft. It was approximately 30 feet wide and had cubic features".

The craft stopped briefly over where the light was and then the craft disappeared suddenly with little to any noise, "We assume that it had collected some sort of probe that was spying on us. This incident frightened my girlfriend and she was no longer willing to investigate the flashing lights that persisted on several occasions.".

The witness proceeded to be woken at exactly 3:33am in the following mornings, this scared the witness with the fear that they might be 'taken' and the witness very quickly stopped talking about the encounters or anything relating to them, even to their girlfriend.

"Since then we have moved twice and have not encountered any more lights. However, we also quit smoking and quit looking. We don't got out late at night. I forced myself to stop looking at the clock when I wake up... I also now use sleep inducing drugs at night and I can't remember my dreams anymore, which suits me fine".

Some Stats

The blog has had a lot of work put into it with 571 posts and most are reports not that well known so not the same old same old.

On average posts get 4-5 views. a few have gone to 7, 8 and 9. Others have had no views what-so-ever.

9,891 views all time so from 2015. Makes you wonder where all the interest has gone.
I am not going to give up as I am too stupid and have no real life -its what 50 years hard labour on UFOs gets you.

Question is though: why are all of these people screeching about "UAP" and wanting more false UFO footage? Has one pof them ever thought that if these things are craft from somewhere other than Earth they have pilots/crew -and DO NOT say "we know its the Greys!" because that fakery died a death long ago!

I guess people just like bright, shiny things in the sky...even if they turn out to be a birthday balloon!😂😂

Many Shades Of Greys

Originally posted on the Anomalous Observational Phenomena blog Wednesday 9th November, 2015

Above: "We use "screen images" to put you in various scenarios that you cannot tell from reality -now breed!"   Star Trek "The Cage"/"Menagerie"

I spent several hours on the computer today.  Apparently the only real result from searching for "UFO Close Encounters of the Third Kind"/"Real life UFO Close Encounters of the Third Kind" is the 1977 Spielberg movie. (addenda 05 11 2022 -still true!)

And other than that you have that site which is either run by someone who seriously needs psychological help or really believes that spoons, bears, statues and far more are spotted in NASA Mars photos -finds them daily apparently.

Or...flying humanoids...or as we call them balloons (some human shaped) or refuse sacks tied together.

This is as good as it gets today.  'Abductees'/'experiencers' run UK UFO groups that seem to do little but get hyper over photos of aircraft lights, the return of X-Files on TV or anything but serious investigation and research and tell you matter-of-factly that they get "several dozen new abduction reports per month".  That or you have people who think UFOs are all just in the mind or...rubbish really.  And they run UFO groups.

Just what happened?

Nobody sees a landed UFO from which entities emerge, look around, re-enter craft which then takes off any more.  A "screen image" according to Dr Jacobs since every UFO sightings is an abduction (I guess that includes when they see a UFO that is the misidentification of objects, too?).

Why does the media see Ufology as a joke?  I think I just answered that.

I'd hate to think that real sightings are being ignored by 'investigators'  or witnesses are being scared off because they don't want people screaming out "YOU'VE BEEN ABDUCTED!!"

To prove how consistent abductees descriptions of The Greys (no longer the head honchos according to Jacobs) here are artists approved renditions....I guess it's hard to get a good look while being probed.

Some Thoughts On Correlations and Abductions

The one good thing about having a blog where no one responds or comments is that I can speculate to my heart's content...that is a LOT of speculation! But speculation based on reported facts.

It is interesting to note that the all covering outfits worn by entities in the Vilas Boas case are not unique. As I have shown in my books there are correlations that no one in Ufology appears to have noted because...well, Ufologists in general have no interest in Close Encounters of the Third Kind (and I am not going to include the High Priests of Abduction here since they ...well, all have been exposed for long enough).

For instance we have the 1993 Dandenongs (aka Cahill encounter) case from Australia; all black entities with large oval eyes.  It is very unlikely that Cahillo or the others involved knew of similar entities reported in 1977 in Devon. In fact, the Mr A case (there were two others with him at the time but did not want to come forward) was very briefly mentioned in Flying Saucer Review in a readers letter. FSR had no interest so the only person who investigated and made drawings, approved by the observer, was me. Those illustrations did not appear in print until over a decade after the Dandenongs case. So, picking a totally unique entity description for a hoax that matched one already known about...massive coincidence. Up until the Australian case I was aware of only one other account of an all-black entity and that was from France and searches led me to find others.

None of the cases were sensationally reported and the ones that did receive some print space in English were, by the 1980s, considered quite obscure.

When it comes to entity height we have to go by the observer/percipient's judgement in what are, honestly, a bizarre situation. There are good guides such as "The top of their heads reached my chin" but there seems to be this idea in Ufology that all of the entities must have a uniform height and if they don't then the case is suspect. How does that have any logic? Is every human on Earth the same standard height? We have people varying in height from 4ft 6 inches (1.40m) to 7 feet (2.13m).  Even individuals in an animal species can vary in size so the idea that "all aliens must be---" is silly in the extreme.

The all-encompassing coveralls/helmet and suggested breathing apparatus is described in the Vilas Boas case as well as the Moreland (NZ) encounter in 1959 as well as cases from the United States and Germany. Whether these are some type of extra vehicular activity (EVA) suits to enable breathing and movement in our environment or simple to prevent picking up Earth born diseases we have no ide. The Bibendum ("Michelin man") type suits we could call either but these are two clearly forms of entity clothing.

There is the ever popular diving-suit type outfit complete with head covering. In some cases it is reported that there seems to be some sort of face covering in others none.

Small (4 feet/1.21m to 5 ft 5 inches/1.67m) entities were commonly reported and, yes, their heads were described as oversized and bald with oversized eyes but these were not "Greys" and I can find no reports matching Greys prior to the Hopkins/Jacobs era. Finding You Tubers, bloggers and some Ufologists stating that the Hills and others "encountered what we know today as the Greys" shows a great ignorance of the subject matter: the Hills were not abducted by Greys.  Interesting to note that I once (2015) did a post in which I showed witness drawings or drawings approved by witnesses of Greys that all "showed the typical Grey". Except they did not and I counted up to 12 different kinds of "Greys" in these.

I have also said and written many times stating that, unless they have been investigated (I mean the observer has been spoken to not reading a news-clipping) it cannot be taken as evidence but only noted.  Some cases we know are hoaxes and misidentification but are still used by

Ufologists because they are just too good to let go (like Roswell, MJ-12 and Thomas Mantell's crash).  How many CE3K reports are we hearing of in 2022? Everything has to conform to the Hopkins/Jacobs formula but here is the thing; "regular" CE3K type cases continued throughout the 30 plus years of abduction deception.

I am not claiming that no one has ever been abducted by aliens nor can I claim with 100% confidence that they have. We are still waiting the case where someone actually manages to steal an alien artefact but it seems that aliens have labelled humans as kleptomaniacs so are on the look out.  There are many cases out there that are anecdotally very strong and that includes independent witnesses. However, there is a very strong belief on my part after 50 years that abductions are quite rare and if we exclude the whole "Grey Agenda" it can be clearly seen; they are not common.

There is another problem in that we have, on one side the "I was dragged aboard the UFO" group and on the other incidents in which people were invited to board a landed UFO but "declined" and...that was it. No abduction -the entities either re-entered the object which took off or spoke (sometimes in an unintelligible language) to the percipient then left.

What is going on?

I had toyed with the idea that in some abduction cases the actual abduction itself and what could be recalled under hypnosis were false memory but then you have to ask (at a time when this was far from common in the literature) why women describe the same type of procedures -despite sceptics and some Ufologists claiming that in 1975 "everyone" knew the details of the Hill case they did not and the same applies to the Vilas Boas case -it was not even known in Brasil until the late 1960s and pretty obscure in US Ufology.

We are left wondering whether (here accepting that the accounts are truthful) there is some type of "Ask but if you want to abduct" policy or whether more than one species is involved? The odd thing is that these entities carry out their work, removing pain when the subject shows it then, afterwards, they will show the percipient around the craft.  Almost a "We're not nasty by nature but need to do the work. Sorry -have a look around" attitude and, other than making sure no artefacts are taken, we then have to entities explain that they will make the percipient forget "for the best".   Considering that in many cases such an event is psychologically world-shattering is this the reason for the mental block? Or is it that and the knowledge that claiming to have met aliens gives many percipients a rough road in life -actually 'protecting' the percipient?

CE3K/Alien Entity reports can be mind bending at times and for some Ufologists the work can become a problem with them ending up believing they, too, are lifelong abductees based on very little.

The Vilas Boas Encounter -Some Thoughts

There is something that has always bothered me about the case of Antonio Vilas Boas and the account he gave.

Antônio Vilas-Boas was a 23-year old Brazilian farmer who was working at night to avoid the hot temperatures of the day. On the 16th October, 1957, he was ploughing fields near São Francisco de Sales when he saw what he described as a "red star" in the night sky  which approached his position, growing in size until it became recognizable as a roughly circular or egg-shaped aerial craft, with a red light at its front and a rotating cupola on top. This craft began descending and landed in the field, extending three "legs" as it did so.

At that point, Boas decided to run from the scene on his tractor, but when its lights and engine cut out after traveling only a short distance -he decided to continue on foot.  However, he was seized by a 5-foot-tall (150 cm) humanoid, who was wearing grey coveralls and a helmet. Its eyes were small and blue, and instead of speech it made noises like barks or yelps. Three similar beings then joined the first in subduing Boas, and they dragged him inside their craft

Once inside the craft, Boas said that he was stripped of his clothes and covered from head-to-toe with a strange gel. He was then led into a large semicircular room, through a doorway that had strange red symbols written over it. (Boas claimed that he was able to memorize these symbols and later reproduced them for investigators.) In this room the beings took samples of Boas' blood from his chin. After this he was then taken to a third room and left alone for around half an hour. During this time, some kind of gas was pumped into the room, which made Boas become violently ill.

Shortly after this, Boas claimed that he was joined in the room by another humanoid. This one, however, was female, very attractive, and naked. She was the same height as the other beings he had encountered, with a small, pointed chin and large, blue catlike eyes. The hair on her head was long and white (somewhat like platinum blonde) but her underarm and pubic hair were bright red.  Boas said he was strongly attracted to the woman, and the two had sexual intercourse. During this act, Boas noted that the female did not kiss him but instead nipped him on the chin.

When it was all over, the female smiled at Boas, rubbing her belly and gestured upwards.  Boas took this to mean that she was going to raise their child in space. The female seemed relieved that their "task" was over, and Boas himself said that he felt angered by the situation, because he felt as though he had been little more than "a good stallion" for the humanoids.

Boas said that he was then given back his clothing and taken on a tour of the ship by the humanoids. During this tour he said that he attempted to take a clock-like device as proof of his encounter, but was caught by the humanoids and prevented from doing so. He was then escorted off the ship and watched as it took off, glowing brightly. When Boas returned home, he discovered that four hours had passed.

He later became a lawyer, married and had four children. He stuck to the story of his alleged abduction for his entire life: he died on 17th January, 1991.

That is the account given and free of Flying Saucer Reviews racist image of Vilas Boas being an "ignorant peasant" and the female entity "his bit of overtime".

Vilas Boas was paralysed which is common in a number of close encounter cases. But here we see three entities shorter than he having to carry him to the object. There he is prepared and 'forced' to have sex with a female entity...twice. He even admits an attraction to her in his account. After this his clothes are returned and he is taken on a tour of the craft before being "released". Everything conforms to standard CE3Ks except the, uh, "forced sex" and Vilas Boas seems to actually not need forcing.

Did Vilas Boas remember everything about his time on board, after all four hours had passed. He did try to steal something to prove what had happened, as had others before him and with equal lack of success. This was 1957 and years before Dr Benjamin Simon would use hypnosis on the Hills and all investigators could go by was what the percipient recalled and there seems to be a lot missing here.

I actually wonder whether Vilas Boas had some Catholic guilt over the sex and enjoying it...with someone who was not quite human? The problem we have is that just carrying Vilas Boas to the craft, washing him down and saying "Here: have sex!" would not take four hours but let's say an hour which leaves us with 3 hours and the tour took an hour that still leaves 2 hours to be accounted for.

For decades the concentration has been on the titillating sex aspect and no one -I have checked as many sources as I can- asks "What happened that took four hours?" Vilas Boas stuck to his story and did not make money from it or seek any celebrity from it: he continued his studies and got on with his life as have so many over the decades. I wonder whether, after first being picked up, something I am unsure about and wonder whether Vilas Boas did not walk on board after his escape failed and the situation unfolded from there and it may well be that the encounter with the female entity was not a forced situation.

The big problem is that, as far as the investigators at the time knew, there had never been an incident like this before; the whole reason Vilas Boas contacted anyone was because he wanted to know what it all meant.  It seems that the account given is the one he recalled and never added to over the decades and if he did have any partial recall then he kept it to himself.

It is odd that when I mentioned this as a Time Loss case (no one used Missing Time back then) I was continually asked why? It was just accepted that all he recalled covered the four hour period -there were a number of people who suggested that Vilas Boas got the time wrong or simply shrugged it off -after all, he was an ignorant peasant!

Do not just think of this case as "sex on a flying saucer" but look at the details. So few actually do.

Brief Update

I think I now have every report from my books and magazines and anyone interested will recall that I started out with 11 then 13 bulked out folders.

In the last two weeks (as noted already) I have gone all out to copy off as many reports as possible which meant expanding the United States folder to two folders and now 12!

In total there are now 43 folders and I am looking at a possible expansion at some point. These folders cover the US,UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Iran, Japan, Papua NEW Guinea nand many other countries.

Even if 95% of the reports were deleted as "Insufficient data" thanks to Ufology ignoring them, then that leaves some very interesting and little known cases.

As I read the reports as they are copied I can confirm that my findings from a few years ago are confirmed and those may -may- be outlined in a future book although as all the others basically failed to sell copies I am in two minds.

I now have the task of sorting out the Signals, Unidentified Orbital Objects, Astronomers and UFOs and other files from my late colleague Franklyn Davin-Wilson. Before that, however, I have document folders (100+) dealing with various subjects that need replacing after almost 45-50 years. I wonder who wiull inherit all of this! 😂

How Can We Communicate With Aliens? The Way We Communicate Amongst Ourselves!

The article by The Telegraph reporter Sarah Knapton carries the following headline and story https://uk.yahoo.com/news/prepare-alien-encounter-now-too-214309862.html  (images added)

Prepare for alien encounter now before it's too late, warn scientists

photo:NASA

Aliens could get in touch tomorrow and we must know what to say to them, scientists have warned, as they launched a new research hub to prepare humanity for first contact.

The University of St Andrews has joined forces with the UK SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Research Network to establish protocols and procedures if aliens are found.

The team warn that although there are measures in place for dealing with threats posed by asteroid impacts, there is no agreed response if a radio signal were picked up from another intelligent lifeform.

The Seti Post-Detection Hub will bring together experts from around the world to decide how to decipher methods, enact space law and anticipate societal impacts.

Dr John Elliott, honorary research fellow in the School of Computer Science at St Andrews and coordinator of the Hub, said: “Will we ever get a message from ET? We don’t know. We also don’t know when this is going to happen.

“But we do know that we cannot afford to be ill prepared – scientifically, socially, and politically rudderless – for an event that could turn into reality as early as tomorrow and which we cannot afford to mismanage.

“We need to coordinate our expert knowledge not only for assessing the evidence but also for considering the human social response, as our understanding progresses and what we know and what we don’t know is communicated. And the time to do this is now.”
Truth is out there

Protocols need updating

The potential for problems in communicating with alien life was explored in the fourth instalment of the Star Trek film franchise, The Voyage Home.

In depicts an alien probe sending out a message that inadvertently plays havoc with human technology with the crisis only resolved when Kirk and his crew realise it is trying to communicate with the planet's whales.

Many scientists now think that intelligent life elsewhere in the universe is a real possibility, and Nasa recently launched an eight-month inquiry to investigate hundreds of unexplained UFO sightings.

The investigation into "unidentified aerial phenomena" is being led by Dr Thomas Zurbuchen, of Nasa’s Science Mission Directorate, and is due to report back next summer.
Last year, the Pentagon's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force released a report into 144 UFO incidents between 2004 and 2021, many of which were spotted by military pilots.

Although investigators concluded that there was no evidence the objects had come from outer space, or a foreign adversary, they said that most could not be explained.

(c)2022 T. Hooper-Scharf

Currently, the only existing agreed "contact" protocols for encountering alien life were drawn up by the SETI community itself in 1989, and have not been revised since 2010. But they focus entirely on scientific conduct.

The Royal Society held a Scientific Discussion Meeting on "The detection of extra-terrestrial life and the consequences for science and society" in 2010 but there has been no global agreement on how to handle contact.

Learning how to decipher an alien language or method of communication is likely to be one of the major hurdles that experts will need to consider.

In a recent BBC documentary First Contact: An Alien Encounter, scientists admitted it may never be possible to understand what aliens are trying to tell us.

Dr Alexander Rehding, professor of music at Harvard University, said humans had still not learned how to translate animal communication.

“Whales are a really good study, and they are in some ways the closest thing that we have to aliens here on Earth,” he said.

“Whales are highly intelligent, and their environment is entirely different from ours. The patterns that we hear are purely patterns that we recognise as music, repeated patterns.

“It is a form of vocalising but we don't really know what it's for. Is it music, is it a language? What does it mean? It can give us a sense of how difficult the task at hand is.”

Dr Elliott admitted that deciphering an alien language would be tricky without some kind of extraterrestrial Rosetta Stone.

“Nevertheless, much can be gleaned, without this. Language for intelligent species has a structured system that is multi-layered and has internal structure," he said.

“By identifying any patterns within the signal and calculating how these patterns interact, we will then be able to know if it passes this initial surface structure test for displaying evidence of being language-like.

“If so, we will then be able to move on to identifying internal structures displayed by all known intelligent species. Once this is done, we can then move onto deeper levels of ‘syntax’ to ultimately where it ‘meets’ semantics.”

William Borucki, a former Nasa space scientist, added: “When I look at how Hollywood portrays contact, one of the things that I think is unreal, is that people that can readily communicate and have similar ambitions, similar responses.

“But when I think about intelligent life, and the variety of it on Earth, we've got dogs, we've got apes, we've got octopi that have their intelligence in their arms, not in their head.

“We can't talk to most of the creatures on Earth in an intelligent way. How are we going to talk to intelligent civilisations? I'm not sure we'll ever understand.”

                ***************************************************

Here again we see that the news item is taking its lead from the UAP Task Force and, of course, that has become hip and trendy to refer to in items online, TV and elsewhere. But let's not go into Elizondo and the "false disclosure" here.

What we are seeing is astronomers and others, who should have been looking into UFO reports from the very outset running around like headless chickens.  Science allowed itself to throw aside scientific principles and reasoning because they were being told what the do by the intelligence community and anti-UFO debunkers who were profiting from a in the employ of the intelligence community. Those who even dared look into reports were bullied, blacklisted and pushed out of their jobs and this led some to eventual suicide.

Look at the astrophysicist and celebrity loving Neil deGrasse Tyson who dismisses UFO reports by not even looking at any details.  He is on the record -in print and in online interviews (such as on You Tube) stating that he is not going to spoend any of his valuable professional time looking at UFOs. That immediately negates his worth as a scientist. Imagine all the scientific discoveries made NOT being made because "I am not going to spend any of my valuable time on this" prevailed. He loves the publicity and money that brings and that's where it stops.

The fact that Neil deGrasse Tyson is looked upon by many as the scientist to go to his opinion is worthless because he will not look at the subject and there are many astronomers who take that lead and brush off the idea of UFOs being worth anything but a laugh.

Had science and in particular astronomers and those involved in SETI actually studied the available reports from, say, 1950 onward then they would have come across the Close Encounters of the Third Kind cases. But, oh “silly little green men stories -beneath us!” The fact that these intellectually stunted people keep repeating “little green men” ad infinitum shows how derelict their scientific capacity is.

Unfortunately, Hopkins, Jacobs, Mack and the other High Priests of Abduction made a mockery of real research on the subject for thirty plus years and this was encouraged by social club Ufology with its money-making aims. Science can take a lot of the blame but Ufology has a sizeable chunk on its back.

Let’s ignore the Contactee reports. Look at the CE3K reports and those tell us a lot about how alleged aliens communicate. We have to remember that there is no 100% solid proof of alien encounters just very strong anecdotal evidence; the type of evidence which has (if you follow the news) just seen three people in the UK and U. S. convicted in criminal courts. The problem is that science (not all scientists as I know that there have been a few open-minded on the UFO subject well before the UAP craze) will not look into a case it cannot dismiss.

1) three people out for a drive at night are chased by an oval shaped UFO

2) all three report an abduction experience

3) all three suffer physiological (burns/radiation sickness) and psychological problems (post traumatic stress)

4) at the same time as the trio were being chased and independent observer saw a car being chased by a bright object on the same road

5) that same evening there are UFO reports from the area.

6) a UFO was detected by local radar

Each of these points would need to be investigated and dismissed -radar would need to be proven faulty, the independent observations would all need to be proven to be hallucinations or misidentifications and it would need to be explained how three percipients got a dose of radiation poisoning and burns on a short road trip along a quiet road and why all three were medically judged to be suffering from psychological trauma. “They saw Venus” is just not going to work here.

What these people are currently looking for are jobs that pay well on committees so they can sit back and pontificate on how we can communicate with aliens. Prestige job, free lunches and not really do much.

I probably have more credentials regarding studying alien (alleged) life and communications than anyone at SETI!

There is a real and genuine fear amongst people on SETI and astronomers that we will be contacted by aliens. Or may have been studied by such. As I pointed out in UFO Contact? the invention of the radio was the work of many great minds over the course of several decades during the 19th century, although the first transmission was made in 1895. Since that time radio, TV and other radio signals (not SETI) ave travelled out in a 200 light year diameter from Earth. Check my posts on our nearest solar systems to see how many are covered in that 200 ly diameter.

The SETI people are supposing that aliens advanced enough to visit Earth are so dumb that they never thought to themselves “I wonder how Earth people communicate?” However, Science (collectively) is not that bright. Back in the 1960s Carl Sagan stated that one or two visits might be likely, however, “due to the vastness of space” regular visits are very unlikely. In fact Sagan once argued that there was a “statistical likelihood that Earth was visited by an advanced extraterrestrial civilization at least once during historical times.”

deGrasse Tyson had a huge man-crush on Sagan https://blankonblank.org/interviews/carl-sagan-extraterrestrials-religion-aliens-life-planets-mars-galaxies-stars/ so it’s a pity he loves the celebrity more than science. Then again, maybe he never read Sagan’s work.

The one problem that astronomers and SETI keep throwing up is “the vast distances of space that rule out interplanetary travel”. Firstly, I do not think that there is any evidence that there is intelligent life that has originated on any other planet than Earth. What they actually mean is “inter-solar system” travel at best. The idea that the Milky Way has no other life in it therefore we have to concentrate on galaxies far, far away is Prof. Dumb and Dumber in charge. Again, possibly fear that advanced civilisations may be nearby. Someone/thing sits back in the Andromeda galaxy and points at the Milky Way: “Let’s not bother with our own galaxy, we’re in it -let’s travel to that one!” Dumb and Dumber thinking again.

Officially, even if Science accepted UFO cases, no one has officially met aliens. We can only go by the reports and once the natural phenomenon is excluded to leave us with only clearly seen and described constructed objects that we know are not “from around here” then we can say “If they ain’t from around here then they come from somewhere else!” Going by the reports that the debunkers have failed to explain away we would find that there are clues as to possible power sources as well as how far advanced these visitors are. I, and this is just my opinion, do not believe that they have travelled from the Andromeda galaxy or any galaxy that Ufologists have promoted: they think stating a galaxy name is like stating “that planet over there”.

For any confused Ufologists out there:

Solar System: a sun together with a group of celestial bodies (planets, asteroids etc) that are held by its attraction and revolve around it. Aka: planetary system.

Galaxy: a system of millions or billions of stars, together with gas and dust, held together by gravitational attraction.

Now, our sun (Sol) belongs to a galaxy called the Milky Way. Astronomers estimate there are about 100 thousand million stars in the Milky Way alone. Then comes the bigger scientific estimate for the Milky Way galaxy: how many (possible) planets are in it?

Our Sun hosts eight planets (until it is discovered Planet 10 is excluded), so planets might be more numerous depending on circumstance and causality; however, in our galaxy, the Milky Way, there are estimated to be at the least around 100 billion planets. If, say, you exclude 99% of that estimate you are still left with 1 billion planets. There are 59,722 stars visible with a telescope within 100 light-years of our solar system.

This is why I fail to understand why SETI does not concentrate on nearer systems. We cannot, after all, now hide our transmissions or the fact that we are here. We cannot hide the fact that we are so consumed by political wrangling and love of war that we spend multi billions of $/£ each year on these and have been so backward in supporting space flight that apart from probes humans have failed to get to its nearest neighbour, our Moon, since December 1972 with Apollo 17. That is 50 years -we were told that by now we would have lunar bases and manned flights to Mars would have taken place instead a few rich people have taken up private (financial) spaceflight. We are not the brightest in the galaxy.

An advanced civilisation might be far less interested in politics (a purely Terran concept) and may not even have had any conflict in its past. The idea that the (self grandised)experts’ keep pushing is that there are probably no alien civilisations because, “like us”, these civilisations “can only last so far before destroying themselves in war”. These experts (X=The Unknown while “spurt” is a drip under pressure) can only think in terrestrial terms and that in itself shows that they are scientifically redundant. When one of these persons refers to UFO reports as “crap” well, says a great deal more about that person than UFO reports. After all, they got a piece of paper from a university so they know better than anyone else. Physicist Brian Cox and deGrasse Tyson are perfect examples. Their intellectual thinking appears far below that of such people as Michio Kaku, the American theoretical physicistfuturist, and popularizer of science (science communicator). He is a professor of theoretical physics in the City College of New York and CUNY Graduate Center. Kaku is the author of several books about physics and related topics and has made frequent appearances on radio, television, and film. He is also a regular contributor to his own blog, as well as other popular media outlets. For his efforts to bridge science and science fiction, he is a 2021 Sir Arthur Clarke Lifetime Achievement Awardee. A scientist who thinks in other words.

We also look at planets based on our knowledge of Earth and how life developed here. Up until a decade or so ago if anyone suggested that there was water throughout our own solar system they would have been shouted down. Now we know that it isa fairly “common”. Exo-planets have been detected that seem to have water on them. The problem is that astronomers speculate so much and digital art images are pushed out every time that people imagine the planets have been observed and studied and these are images based on those observations. Also, when you announce observing a gas giant and put forward the usual scientific poo-poo about it no one asks questions. A few questions are asked when that gas giant...is lost (maybe someone struck a match a little too close to it?).

Science bases everything on our knowledge of Earth (while still arguing about other planetary bodies and aspects of Earth itself) and our technology. You know, the technology that can spend multi billions on new stealth military aircraft but has to buy space on a ‘taxi’ to get its own crews to the International Space station (I am looking at you, America). Had the military budget for two years (including black ops budgets) been pushed into the space program itself think what might have been achieved? Basing everything on Us and Earth is not a good idea but for some it’s easier.

We have seen (if we accept the reports) that UFOBs (constructed objects) are far superior to anything we have on Earth. These entities did not neglect science and their space program or whatever project(s) they had; they got to work. We need to check for clues in the reports of landings and airborne objects.

“We’ve not proved scientifically that telepathy exists! It’s all woo-woo!” Well, there is anecdotal evidence but, as with Ufologists being ignorant of scientific developments, so those involved in science do not keep up with or show interest in fields that bring them, personally, anything. Again it is this self grandisement where no one knows anything other than them.

Ufology has similar in the Believer and Debunker camps and followers will accept anything fed to them. Its all about money and celebrity. Even aftyer having their work exposed there are still those promoting Hopkins, Jacobs and Mack. What they reveal about “alien communication” can be considered pure fantasy right down to alleged alien symbols. So we, again, have to look at how percipients/observers describe behaviour and communication with “aliens”.

M. Masse at Valensole allegedly communicated with two entities and was invited into their craft. He declined and that was it. A conversation followed that he took to his grave but he did not believe the Hill case as there was no attempt to abduct him. There are other landing reports where people are invited aboard a landed craft but decline -nothing. There are cases where an over enthusiastic witness attempts to run toward a landed object -he is waved back just as we might wave someone back from danger and on the occasion when the warning is not heeded either the object takes off or “fires” a warning beam in front of the person.

If Sagan was correct and there was an alien visitation in the past then it is possible that race either pops back over every so often or (unless an isolationist race) their knowledge is shared with other races. All conjecture but it would make sense. That weapons (hand held) fail to work or the holder is paralysed to a degree shows that there is some knowledge of humans and terrestrial weapons -think of all of those broadcasts.

Are they a threat? Well, to our world-view, possibly. Though it seems more people are willing to accept alien life now than before. Looking at the technology reported (it is the best that we can do) then there is no doubt that if the intent was hostile Earth would have been taken over in a day. We have to think that the greatest enemy is our own fear and the utter stupidity displayed by the ”experts” and their daft statements.

When it comes down to it the SETI people and hangers-on have to consider the fact that any aliens coming here would be aware of our language and what we do -the idea of a priest vaporized as he approaches a landed UFO with his hands raised and white flag in one hand...a bit daft. Logically it makes no sense especially if they have viewed our TV and seen what a white flag and hands in the air means.

Go back to the UFO reports and study them. Far more will be learnt from them than any over indulgent lunch and three hours of pontification.
